  1. Hi Karen, I just finished Dancing Valley, and I wanted to reach out; it’s stayed with me longer than most books do. The moment that really got me was Anita following the fairy after being told her whole life that what she saw wasn’t real. That’s such a quiet, specific kind of loneliness, and you let it breathe instead of rushing past it. It made her arrival at Carolyn’s cottage feel earned rather than convenient. I also loved the emerald pendant as the one thread connecting her to a past she never had; it’s a small object doing a lot of emotional work, and it never feels heavy-handed. I don’t email authors cold often, but a book has to actually linger for me to do it, and yours did. I’m not pitching anything here; I’m just a fellow fantasy author who enjoyed your world and wanted to connect. Is Dancing Valley part of a longer series arc for the fae guardian storyline, or does Carolyn’s history get explored more in the other Unmistakably Mystical books? Really enjoyed the read, thanks for writing it.
